Outside Right

Born: St. Albans, Hertfordshire: Unknown

Debut: v Blackpool (h): 19-09-1914

Richardson started with Barnet Alston and joined Second Division Leeds City in June 1913. He did not get a chance with the first team until September 1914, when City had a problem with the Outside Right spot. Simpson Bainbridge started the season but Alf Rothwell took over from the second match before Bainbridge was restored for the third game. Arthur Price was given his chance in the fourth game before Richardson played in the fifth and sixth game, at home to Blackpool and away to Clapton Orient, before Ivan Sharpe was switched from Outside Left to solve the Right Wing problem. City later turned to Simpson Bainbridge, John Jackson, Arthur Price and finally Ernie Goodwin to fill the problem spot but Richardson was never called upon again and left at the end of the season and did not play in the Football League again.
