History: Foreword Welcome to OzWhite's History of Leeds United F.C. - one of the original and most extensive web resources on all things Leeds United Football Club (LUFC), established in 2006 by Tony Hill. Thomas Anthony (Tony) Hill was a Leeds lad and maintained a lifelong connection with the Whites despite the great distance after moving to Australia in 1969. Once he retired, Tony spent all his spare time on this History of Leeds United website, as well as collecting LUFC books and programmes. Tony passed away after a long illness in 2022. Tony's son passed the site onto me in the hopes that it would be preserved and built upon well into the future. This site is quite rightly now dedicated to his memory: Vale Tony Hill. Site Acknowledgements from Tony Hill: In compiling this reasonably extensive but by no means comprehensive History of Leeds United from 1919 to present day (and subsequently a section on the History of Leeds City) much use has been made of personal memorabilia and first hand experiences, but in general the accepted facts have been strictly adhered to and several well known reference books have been used. Additional acknowledgement is made to the following: Jabba: For his comprehensive statistics and in particular, the details of each season results, appearances and goal-scorers, which have been hyperlinked to the relevant season. Unfortunately Jabba ceased to maintain his site and the information was no longer available. Therefore I and others created a Statistics section which now provides every result, team and player statistics. It was a long project and thankfully it is now complete, and has now replaced and updated the information formerly provided by Jabba. Whereas Jabba provided a database system, this does not. Welcome to OzWhite's History of Leeds United F.C. - one of the original and most extensive web resources on all things Leeds United Football Club (LUFC), established in 2006 by Tony Hill.
