Little is known about Raymond Sellar, but he was thought to have been in the Welsh Guards
and the son of a Leeds policeman, according to local newspapers of the time (courtesy Neil
Roche). He played one game for Leeds United in the 1941-42 Football League Northern Section
(Second Championship). He played at Outside Right on 10th January 1942 in a 0-2 defeat by
Rochdale at Spotland. It is not thought that Sellar played professionally in the Football
League.
