Darville came through the Leeds Academy along with Fabian Delph, Tom Elliott, Tom Lees and Will Hatfield being a first year professional in 2007-08.He progressed into the Leeds Reserve team as a right-back in the 2008-09 season. After he had represented England at Under-Fifteen and Under-Sixteen level he became an England Under-Eighteen representative as his experience grew. He, along with Tom Lees, joined the first team squad for the first pre-season friendly against York City in July 2009 and he came on at half-time and played a half-game. The same two players were then taken on the pre-season tour to Ireland and he came on in the sixty-fifth minute against Shelbourne and after eighty minutes at Glentoran. He became a regular in the Leeds Reserves at Right-Back for the 2009-10 season, and scored the winning goal in a 1-0 win over Rotherham United in the penultimate game to set up a second consecutive Championship for the team. He was also a member of the team that, in early March 2010, finished Runners-up in a Dubai invitation Seven-a-side Tournament, which saw United eliminate Blackburn Rovers and Arsenal, with Darville scoring the winner against Blackburn. They also beat Celtic but fell to Greek club Olympiakos in the Final. Darville's outings in the reserves caught the eye of Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore and he was invited to train for a week with the Millers first team in February 2010 and he was signed on loan in March 2010 in a deal which was extended until the end of the season. In April Darville featured in the Rotherham reserve side against Leeds United in a reserve fixture, which Rotherham lost 4-2. Darville was admitted to hospital after feeling unwell following a severe clash of heads in training towards the end of April 2010. He left Rotherham in May following the expiration of his loan, not able to make his debut, mainly due to the injury. In an effort to get him first-team experience, he was given the chance to play for York City in their 2010-11 pre-season build-up in their games against Barnsley and Scunthorpe United. he then had a trial with Tranmere Rovers and, on 5th August 2010, was allowed to go on a one month loan. He made his debut on 7th August 2010 in a 2-1 home win over Oldham Athletic. After impressing in his initial games for the Prenton Park team, on 20th August his loan was extended until January 2011. He made eight starts and one game from the bench in the League, together with two starts in the League Cup and two in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy before the loan expired on 4th January 2011. He was released by Leeds on 17th January 2011 and, on 31st January 2011, he was signed by York City until the end of the season. He made seventeen starts for York, but was released at the end of the season. He had trials with Accrington Stanley before joining Harrogate Town in September 2011.
