Isle of Man, who had a better goal difference, while Scotland topped the table with seven points and the
Republic of Ireland were runners-up on four points. After a fine season with Coagh United in the 2009-10
season, he signed for Crusaders in the close season. He made his debut for Crusaders in a 3-1 away win
over Donegal Celtic on 7th August 2010, playing seventy-two minutes before being replaced by David

2010, opening the scoring in the twenty-fifth minute, and adding his second, in scoring Crusaders third

and Young Player of the Year awards. There was also international recognition for three of the club's players
as Colin Coates, Stuart Dallas and Jordan Owens were called up to the Northern Ireland squad for the
Nations Cup games with the Republic of Ireland and Wales. Colin Coates appeared in both games while
Owens and Dallas featured as substitutes in the game against Wales at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin on 27th
May 2011, as they went down 0-2 to Wales, with Dallas coming on as a sixty-second minute replacement
for Craig Cathcart, after being an unused substitute in the 0-5 loss to the Republic of Ireland at Landsdowne
Road three days previously. Dallas had also been selected for the Northern Ireland Under-Twenty-Three
side in the International Challenge Trophy on 13th October 2010 in a 0-2 away defeat by Portugal. In his
second season with Crusaders, Dallas started thirty League games and came off the bench in two, while
scoring eight goals. He also started four Irish Cup ties without scoring and scored twice in four Irish League

season Crusaders also finished as Runners-Up in the Irish Cup as they were beaten 1-4 in the final by
Linfield at Windsor Park on 5th May 2012. During the season he gained his first Northern Ireland Under-
Twenty-One cap on 6th September 2011 in a 0-3 home defeat by Denmark. He left the Crusaders for
English League One side Brentford on 1st August 2012. In his two seasons with the Crusaders he started
sixty-six League games and came on twice as a substitute, scoring twenty-four goals. In the Cups he
started nine in the Irish Cup, scoring twice, while in the Irish League Cup he scored twice in seven starts.
He also made five starts in the Setanta Sports Cup and two in the Europa League without scoring. He did
not gain first team recognition initially at Griffin Park, but had to watch from the bench in five of the first
eleven League fixtures and the first League Cup before he was given a chance to show his ability on the
pitch. His first chance came on 9th October 2012 in a 1-0 win over Crawley Town in the Johnstone's Paint
Trophy when he replaced Scott Barron with fifteen minutes left on the clock. He made his League debut
four days later when he replaced Harry Forrester after eighty-seven minutes in a 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe
United, which was followed by another substitute appearance a week later in a 1-2 loss to Doncaster
Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium when he replaced Tom Adeyemi after seventy-nine minutes. One more
substitute appearance in the League and three in the F.A. Cup followed before he finally made his starting
debut, in the League, on 29th December 2012 in a 0-0 draw at Shrewsbury Town, when he was replaced

Northern Ireland Under-Twenty-One cap in a 2-3 defeat by Hungary at Tatabanya, Budapest in a friendly.
On 6th August 2013 he played a full game in the 3-2 home win over Dagenham & Redbridge FC in the
League Cup and on 27th August 2013 he similarly stayed the distance in a 0-5 defeat by Derby County in
the same competition, and on 3rd September 2013 he played a full game in the 5-3 home win over AFC
Wimbledon in a Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie, but apart from that he had managed just two games from the
bench in the first ten League games of the year and sat once unused, before being loaned to League Two
Northampton Town on 1st October 2013. He was off to a flying start as in his first game four days later he
came on as a fifty-seventh minute substitute for Chris Hackett and scored the Cobblers' second goal in the
seventy-third minute in a 2-0 win at AFC Wimbledon. He made his starting debut on 12th October in a 0-2
defeat at Oxford United and went on to score three goals in ten starts and two games from the bench in the
League before returning to Griffin Park on 25th December 2013. He went straight into the squad for the
Boxing Day 3-2 home win over Swindon Town and five minutes before half-time he got his chance when he
replaced the injured Will Grigg. While still not assured of a starting spot he did feature in the squad and
towards the end of the season he gained a regular starting spot and scored his first goal for the Bees,
when he scored in the penultimate game of the season as Brentford went down 1-4 at Colchester United on
26th April 2014 when he scored in first-half injury time. It proved to be his only Brentford goal in the 2013-14
season in which they gained promotion to the Championship as runners-up to Wolverhampton Wanderers
and he started six, came off the bench twelve times and was unused nine times in the League, started one
Football League Trophy tie, and two League Cup ties. On 26th June 2014 Dallas signed a one year
extension to his Brentford contract taking it to the end of the 2016-17 season. The 2014-15 season saw him
become a first-team regular and in the League he scored eight goals in starting twenty-three, coming on as
a substitute fifteen times and remaining on the bench once and being injured for the other seven. Brentford
came fifth in their first season back in the Championship and he also twice came off the bench in the play-off
semi-finals in which they were eliminated by Middlesbrough. Dallas also came off the bench once in the F.A.
Cup, and scored twice in two substitute appearances in the League Cup. His form with Brentford had been
so good that it saw him return to the Northern Ireland International team. On 25th March 2015 he played a full
game at Hampden Park in a 0-1 defeat by Scotland in a friendly and four days later he came on as a sixty-
fourth minute substitute for Niall McGinn in a 2-1 win over Finland at Windsor Park in a European Group
Qualifier. His fourth cap saw him score his first full international goal on 31st May 2015, when after starting
the game he scored in the first minute of the second half to give Northern Ireland the lead in a 1-1 draw with
Qatar at Gresty Road, Crewe. Four days later he played a full game in a 0-0 draw with the Republic of Ireland
at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, which was held behind closed doors and did not count as an official
international. On 13th June 2014 he gained his fifth cap in a 0-0 draw in a Group F European Qualifier at
Windsor Park against Romania. Dallas still had one year left on his Brentford contract and on 1st August
2015 he told the new Brentford coach he did not want to sign a further extension to his existing contract and
it looked likely that he would leave the club. In his time at Griffin Park he had scored eight goals in thirty-two
starts and thirty-one games from the bench in the League, started one and came off the bench three times,
without scoring in the F.A. Cup, scored twice in four starts in the League Cup, and started one and came off
the bench once in the Football League Trophy and came on twice as a substitute in the Championship play-
offs, without scoring. On 4th August 2015, former Brentford coach, Uwe Rosler, who had originally brought
him from Ireland, signed him on a three year contract for £1.3 million, for his new club, Leeds United. He
made his debut for Leeds in the opening game of the season in a 0-0 draw with Burnley at Elland Road and
established himself as a regular starter in the first team. He took his international total to seven with two
further games in the Group F European Cup Qualifiers in a 3-1 win at Torsvollur, Gundadalur, Torshavn over
Faroe Islands on 4th September 2014, when he played a full game, and three days later at Windsor Park he
started in a 1-1 draw with Hungary and came off with six minutes left on the clock when he was replaced by
Shane Ferguson. He established himself as a regular in the Leeds first team mainly in the left wing midfield
role but adapted to the various tactical requirements of Steve Evans after he had replaced Uwe Rosler. His
first goal came with a fine powerful shot in the fifty-first minute of the outstanding 3-2 victory over
Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on 17th December 2015.This was followed by a late season surge
with the opening goal in the twenty-second minute of a disappointing 1-4 home defeat by local rivals,
Huddersfield Town. He then scored both goals in the 2-1 away win at Birmingham Cityon 12th April 2016 in
the eleventh and fiftieth minures to give United a 2-0 lead before Birmingham replied with a consolation goal,
and on 23rd April he scored a late, eighty-eighth minute, equaliser in a surprise 2-2 draw at Hull City to take
his tally for the season to five. He won the club's "Players' Player" award at the end of the season. During the

with Finland at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium. The other four were in Friendlies in which he either came on
as a substitute or was replaced. On 13th November 2015 he started in the 1-0 win over Latvia at Windsor
Park in which he was replaced by Liam Boyce of Ross County after sixty-nine minutes. On 24th March 2016

May 2016 he started in the 3-0 win over Belarus at Windsor Park but was replaced by Niall McGinn of
Aberdeen in the seventy-fourth minute. He missed parts of the 2016-17 season through injury and also
spent eight games unused on the bench, but he added two goals to his League tally with the first goal in the
seventy-fourth minute in a 2-1 win at Blackburn on 1st February 2017 and the equaliser in the three minutes
before half-time in a 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town on 18th of the same month as he started twenty and came off
the bench in eleven games in the League. He also scored a fifty-sixth minute equaliser at Cambridge United

Norway on 26th March 2017 before being replaced with two minutes left on the clock by Matthew Lund. He
next started in a Friendly with New Zealand at Windsor Park on 2nd June 2017 before giving way to Paul
Paton after seventy-four minutes in a 1-0 home win. It was in preparation for the fourth World Cup Qualifier,
four days later at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadion in Baku, which saw them defeat Azerbaijan 1-0 with Dallas
scoring the only goal of the game two minutes into injury time at the end of the game. He was again called
up for the Northern Ireland team for the Group C World Cup qualifiers and, after rumoured interest from
Norwich City, he signed a new three year deal which will keep him at Elland Road until the end of the 2019
-2020 season. In the 2017-18 season he was sometimes unavailable due to injury, mainly in the two months
either side of Christmas but still started fourteen and came off the bench in fifteen and was unused on the
bench on three occasions in the League and had three starts, playing a full game in each, in the League Cup.
